Imagination and Patience

tgcorley Dec 02, 2007 06:04 PM

. . . are what it takes to be excited about pairing these snakes in a few years to see what kind of offspring they produce. The first snake is an '07 male thayeri from Bob Hansen and the second is an '07 female thayeri from Russ Bates. Just a matter of time . . .

AMEN! A lot of people don't have any idea how much time and patience (years-seasons) it takes to produce something cool. Good luck and hope the first hatch is as good as next ones.

Thank you, Frank. It's regrettable that patience is a attribute that gets short shrift in our modern ADD-promoting culture. What modern media promote -- instant gratification -- is nothing like the long-term gratification one can get from working on a project over the years.

Below is a head shot of an '06 female thayeri I got from John Cherry. She's a great animal (calm, eats fuzzies right out of my hand) and I like the symmetry of her "omega" head pattern.

That's a beautiful pair of thayeri. They should produce some stunning babies. Randy W.
