I am going wanting to breed orange head roaches for a new baby red tegus I am going to get.

Can they be kept outside?Im in LA. so it does get hot here..Today it was so hot people were wearing shorts.lol.

Easy to feed and breed? How big of a cage?

And we have hornworms around here too..If I was to collect these and breed them whould I have safe feeders for a tegu?Of course on a diffrent diet.

thanks in advance!

I live in nothern Alabama and I keep six spotted and hissers out in the garage year round. It gets chilly in the winter, at least low 50's in the garage. There's no breeding going on during the winter months, but they pick up really quick when it warms back up.

Just be careful getting other species in there. I've heard of some native roaches taking over a hisser colony around here...
