...And last but not least, the Big Orange from Serpentdan (thanks Dan). He's a 2005 offspring but based on his size you'd think he was a 2004! I haven't weighed him since September (250+ grams) but, I suspect that he's close to 300 grams now.

Getting close-up photos of him is difficult...So this is a prized photo of him...

I do not feed him any different than everybody else (every 7 days) but, he just seems to grow like an alien! Hopefully he'll be "UP" this spring as well...

Later,
Jim.

Jim -

And I thought I was an addict with my humble 4.4 thayeri!

You have an excellent eye for beautiful snakes -- thanks for putting up the photos. I wish you the best with your "herd" of thayeri and future breeding successes.

Tom,

Thanks man...I never have enough money for everything I "see"...Ha! Ha! Seriously, since I first started working with the Thayeri, I've been fascinated by them and their variability...I'm going to be "studying" them for a long time.

I can safely say that I have a lot of "material" to work with and the addiction is hopeless!

Jim.

i know what you mean it is the one snake i always look for and at no matter what of those 36 how many will you be trying to breed this year

Thayeriman,

Thanks man. If the gods are properly appeased...and the stars are properly aligned and if everybody gets along with one another...I'll hope to pair up 2.2 Thayeri's, 2.2 Alterna (Juno Road) and 2.2 Brooksi this spring...We'll see what happens.

The ratio's of mature adults will increase in 2009 and in 2010 well, a bunch of females should be mature enough by then...

Jim.

Aubrey,

Yes, I agree but, he does look better in life than he does in his photos...I have to add a bunch of photos to the "Photobucket" album but, there are more photos of him there...click on this picture to see it "full size"...Lots of details...Yes, this was a good picture of him in action...

Adam,

Yes I do...Serpentdan did GREAT work and I admire it very much...I wish I had returned to herping a year before I did so that I could have acquired more progeny from Dan...As it is, I only have 2.1 directly from him...Oh well.

Jim.
