My Eastern Boxies

Fekes Dec 03, 2007 09:31 PM

Hello Everyone, I am finally posting on here. I have been watching over Kingsnake for easily 6-7 years. I remember back when turtles were dirt cheap. I could get an adult possible gravid female Eastern for $20 haha. Now you can't find them anywhere and if you do, they are easily $75-100.

Well here are my Boxies.

My Yellow Male.

Here is my Red Male.

A little comparision shot

My Yellow Female

My Red female.

And my almost mature male.

I hope yous enjoy.

This is where I kept them in the winter time. It's not the best, but it worked haha. I don' tknow what happened to the pic but you get most of it. It's three 50 gallon tubs combined.

This is the summer outdoor home. I built it from stockade fencing. It's 8' X 8'.

great looking group of turtles!
Some are so brightly colored.
I like your outdoor pen and it's size.
I was using black rubber horse feed tubs for my adults for ponds.
they hold up to the sun better than the straight plastic boxes and we have lotsa sun!
I had to quit using them because SUDDENLY I had hatchlings and they could not get out of them.
Thanks for posting the wonderful pix./p
