I've got the BLUE's

JaredHorenstein Dec 03, 2007 11:17 PM

And no....I am not sad one little bit!

This little girl has me more excited than just about an other snake I own. I have a fairly descent sized group of Costa Rican boas, but this girl is special to say the least. For the most part my Costa's range in color from a couple very light tan and silvery colored animals to a few that are very dark, but this is the only one I have ever seen that is this color. Keep in mind that she just shed this morning

I have had her for a little over a month now and was hesitant to take pics of her as I thought it was just temporary and her color would change, but she just gets more and more blue after each shed.

Here's a couple closer-up pics

I am just hoping it gets more intense as she ages and carries over into her offspring one day.

Hope you enjoy

I love the Costa Ricans!!!
Most people don't know what they're missing. That's for sure.
Mighty fine snake.

Jared:

Both the Arabesque and the Costa Rican are beautiful.
We'd love to see more.

Blue....

Adults would be even more interesting animals.

This is the only one that has this color....I have a group of babies all the same age and they are all variable as I said from tans to darker hues, but none are blue like this one....I am hoping it stays into adulthood. I do have an adult male with steel blue sides thats breeding now.
