How about it...Milkathon?

gratefuldead Dec 04, 2007 12:27 AM

I'd consider the last two weeks to have been a milkathon.

Here are a few more pics...

This next snake is a definate anomole. It was found by my friend kcmatt in MO and I believe that it absolutely qualifies as a true hypo. The snake has brown instead of black and its shed is clear...Both of these shots are by Matt...

It is such a gorgeous animal for a w/c syspila from the western portion of their range...In this shot I think you can see the brown coloration a bit more...

This last shot is one of my favorite in situ shots of all time. It was taken by Yani during his and Socalherper's trip to KS last spring...This was a primo rock and it was obvious that something had to have been under it...

On a chilly and drizzley spring day, nothing could be finer...

Holy smokes dude!,....that bottom pic of the pair under the rock is simply AWESOME!.....Did both of your eyes pop out of their sockets after you lifted the rock?.....I know mine would have!...LOL

Those other pics are great too, but I really like the one when the snakes were first exposed as they were both nestled in their little depressions!.....nature at it's best!

That was a fun afternoon.
Matt's syspila definitely looks hypo to me....

That last pics is so cool. Guess those states in the middle of the country have some cool stuff in them after all!

No doubt lads, this milk-a-thon has had more volume and more cool contributions than any other and I recall the Walt Deptula/Brian Mason milk-a-thons in the late 90s.
Big thanx to the Chadster for opening the archive of field shots - hardly scratched the surface I imagine.
Shouldn't be too hard to find a mate for that hypo you have here - just holler.

Thanx for all the compliments everyone, I hope to see more pics of the NA ssps posted and it's great to see so many fat and sassy milks in your collections!
Rock on milk-a-thon!
Jeff
