Replacement Neodesha "Glass"

bast Dec 04, 2007 10:22 AM

Hello all,

I purchased about a dozen 1 foot long neodesha cages. A few had plexi front sliders, but the others had none. They had glass sliders that long ago broke. I grabbed them for the cheap price and figured that I could have a glass/plastic cutter make me a dozen sliders.

Is there a source for all-ready-made replacement plexi sliders?
I don't want to deal with the weight and fagility of glass.

Has any one had plexi like this cut for them?
Is it expensive?

Thanks for the info,
-----

I did have some acrylic cut for a 24" Neodesha many years ago. Actually it may have been the blue fiberglass cages that Neodesha bought out many years ago.

Regardless, I gave them exact measurements and had them radius the edges and corners and it worked well.

Acrylic can be very expensive and I'd recommend getting a good quality product for this application. When I got the cages they were already on their second doors and the guy had used cheap acrylic which was hazed over and cracking.
