Anery turning into a ghost?

pinatamonkey Aug 24, 2003 09:55 PM

My little runt hatchling (2 months old, 9.9", born at 9.2". Clutchmates 13.5", born at 10.5" shed today. He turned out a lot lighter than he was previously, and now he looks ghost-like.

Pics:
Taken 2 1/2 weeks ago:

Today after he shed, with a typical anery clutchmate for comparison:

So what's going on? Is he a ghost that didn't show until today? Or is he just lightening dramatically but still an anery? He was born June 26, until now he looked like the first pic. Parents were amel x ghost, the amel turned out het anery, but is she het hypo as well? Half or more of the clutch I have left (12) have had their second shed already, this is the first one that's surprised me.

He looks just like a slightly darker version of my little ghost. The belly checkers are exactly the same! He could still just be a light anery but keep an eye on him as he grows and sheds some more.

the pic is of my little ghost at 2-4 months old he is a kinked runt that has never eaten on his own. he has lightened up alot and is now 1 year old but only about 13-15 inches long being born at about 9 inches.
