My Frilleds Get Confused?

Reptile World Aug 24, 2003 10:02 PM

I have a pair of australian frilleds. They are constantly going at it (you know what I mean). No, what is wierd though, is that the female trys to mount the male just as much as the male trys to mount the female???

I will hear them jumping around, look to see whats going on, and then come back five minutes later and see that they have switch places, lol.

My last pair didnt do this, in fact I never caught my last pair in the act, but they did produce. These two are at it all the time, and I am hoping the female will drop some eggs soon.

Have any of you had a female that decided to give the male a taste of his own medicine? I think it is quite funny. Just wondering if it is common.

I have attached some images of them. These pictures dont represent the actions described above.

Hey Dana, how can you tell from the pics that they are Aussies? Both of my frilleds have the same color and pattern that the one on top in the picture has, mine are New Gunia frilleds. I can tell an obvious diffrence in the male with the diffrent body shape, and color. Thanks, Jake.
