How that is super cool. I saw an add for a het diablo in the classifieds the other day and didn't have a clue what they were. Is it simple recessive???

Vinny, it probably is but I won't know for sure untill (09) when I breed this girl back to dad.I produce a couple each year from a normal adult pair.

nope, they are npt related in any way to the striped aberrant ones from Amaelco.Those animals date back to the mid 80's and were collected by Lloyd Lemke.I still have the old w/c male that started it all.He was collected in (85) as a adult and is still kicking.
The Diablo phase ruthveni are from a Dallas Zo expostion to Jalisco (Tapalapa) in the lae 80's. They were bred at the zoo and released to a few people in the hobby as Jalisco milks.We now know that they are really Ruthveni but they were called Jalisco milks for many years.I purchased a pair of siblings several years back and they consistantly throw off these real aberrant high red babies.
