Yes...I am SAD to say Big Yeller is no longer with us.
To get the story correct......Here it is:
In the Spring of 2006 I had 30 or so adult pairs paired up. The Springs down in South Texas can be pretty harsh (90 to 100). Well, some pairs were just not enthused about breeding so I cranked the A/C down to about 65 and set them by the window since a Spring shower was rolling in. I went to work and came home to see my A/C was not running anymore.......12 pairs (24 total adults) perished in the hot temps.........I was sooo disgusted I sold all of the remaining snakes I had. I do have one snake I collected in Benicia, CA, but it is surely no Mexicana. My wife feeds him while I am off around the US working.
I have not lurked around here in a long while, but the bug is there in me........I have decided to start building a breeding stock (hatchlings, sub adults and adults) but this will not be until Febrruary or so of next year.......Spring IS a good time to buy as I recall......LOL
I am glad to see a lot of familiar names here and even happier to see some new ones........Chris....I do not know your situation, but there is life after snake breeding.....Prioritize your life and your hobbies will all come back to you.
