I am new to these hogs like I said before. What is the deal with the easterns? Why do they cost so much more than the others?
Thanks alot,

Supply and demand?
Due to our fascination with bigger snakes, Easterns obviously have been a preference for those people with that requirement.
More color variations are naturally available. Again, cosmetic differences seem to dictate preference/demand.
Easterns have also been typically more difficult to keep in captivity. But now I'm seeing where people are getting their heads out of the sand and are using a non-amphibian diet. With a steady and clean food source, it should be easier for breeders to keep the Easterns going.
