gone to home depot, revy, atc. Noone has flex-watt heat tape. Any canadians know where to get some? Is it an electrical thing, or a plumbing thing? (Obviously electrical, but what is it usually used for? someone suggested it was used as an alternative to pipe heating cable)

It's not approved in Canada so you won't find any retailers selling it. There are some private businesses in Canada who sell it. I just order it from the Bean Farm. Quick, cheap and easy.
