More Gentilis

terryd Dec 06, 2007 08:42 PM

Sure would like to see more Gentilis photos from people.
I know Cole could put up some mind bending Gentilis that he as not posted before. Jeff too I bet. Shannon dig into your archive. Chad, open the Pandora box of Gentilis on us.

Elsworth co. KS, Gentilis male.

Same male form above.

Elsworth co. female

Another Elsworth co. female

Lyons co. CO, male. I've got a female for him, but not a photo for triangulum nerds.

Hey! Those Elsworth KS animals are really red! Nice looking little gentilis....
Interesting pose from the Lyons CO snake - did you park him on ice for the shot?
BTW, I've used ice packs to slow hatchlings down for photo shoots but it's not something I do routinely.

I know Jeff, what a weird pose. This Gentilis would not coil down. I'd put my hand over it, wait for it to stop moving, move my hand and, bam, straight out moving rocket.
Look at this strange defensive pose. Same Gentilis.

It looks like it's getting ready to shed. I've seen them go into that pose against my hand when their skin is tight and itchy. I bet it'll be like new in a day or two.

Your right Cole, that snake was in blue when the photo was taken.
And you were also right about gentilis needing more moisture in their tubs then Pales. These gentilis dry out quick. Strange, I very rarely need to moisten Pale neonate paper towels, but these gentilis need it at a higher humidity.
And the syspila I treat like multistrata.

Dell! Glad to see both the Elsworth Co., KS and Lyons Co., CO neonates are doing well. Are any of the Elsworth Co. snakes feeding for you yet? I'll never get over that male's head pattern. They're lookers and I'll be begging some hatchling back from you when they're old enough to breed!

I'll need to fiddle with taking pics of some gentilis to post. All the adults are down for the winter, so they're much easier to photograph! LOL

Nice Dell, the first Elsworth County female is really sweet!

Well, about four years ago my Computer totally died and I wasn't able to save anything from the hard drive.I lost tons and tons of pics of all kinds of snakes. I really don't have much in the way of Gentilis pics even though I had about 40 locale Gentilis in (95-99).

Sorry,

That one photo more then makes up for the lack of gentilis photos. Jeezus, that's nice.
