3 male EBT

golfdiva Dec 06, 2007 09:56 PM

Do you think they could live together peacefully? I have an enclosure that is 12x23 feet. There are 2 males and 1 female available from a rescue. I already have 1 male and 1 female. (the females would live in a different pen). I am trying to decide if I want the males too.

Any one have any ideas, experiences, opinions?

I have 2 males and 2 females in about 200 square feet. the males were feisty w/each other at first but now I do not see them having interaction. Your pen is larger than most that I've seen listed on this forum.

My males do not get along and my pen was bigger then yours. I had to divide the large pen into smaller ones so each male turtle could have their own! At first they may get along because they may be shell shocked, but once they start feeling their oats-watch out! The females get along.

Thanks for the replies! It was only one male and one female, I misunderstood. I decided to give it a try! If need be, I do have the resources to make another pen. So, soon two new "kids" will be joining the flock! lol!

I keep two males and two females in my 8' X 8' pen. They get along fine, execept the occasional interaction. I had plenty of visual barriers, and hides.

Oh, of course! And, DH got a new fancy camera, so they might even be decent pics!

Thanks for everyone's replies!

I'd go for it. Your pen is huge. My three males have no females with them, but in less space than that two get along and one gets picked on from time to time. Just make sure there are plenty of visual barriers in the pen and you'll be fine.
