hello,
I posted a concern about my snake on the health board about 10 days ago and haven't hearda reply. I know this board is visisted more often so thought I'd ask if some of you could read the post and give me your educated/experienced opinion (posted by jscnlc)
I have since covered the top of the cage so the "blanking" cats can't lay up on the screen and "watch " him crawl around while dropping fleas into the cage. He is still not eating but often 'wakes up and cruises around but without the agrtessiveness as if he is looking for a meal. I am planning on changing all his bedding (another mixture of aspen and coconut) tommorrow and sterilizing the glass as well. I think I will also crank up the turkey fryer and boil his rocks for 20 minutes or so.
other than that im at a loss. I do know that there are an awful lot of posts about snakes not eating and am aware of the typical reply to not worry about it as it is often normal, especially this time of year.....any help is appreciated
JC

Cool him before you starve him to death.

I have one of those as well and she is eating like a champ. Don't cool unless you plan on breeding...they don't need to get cooled otherwise.

Keeping the cats away from yours will probably help it feel better. Maybe give it more bedding to burrow in, another hide, and keep it warm (85 ish hot side) and it should start eating again. My bet is on the cats stressing the snake out, which makes it not want to eat.

Good luck!
