Very nice snakes. Is that bottom one really that green or is that just a trick of the camera/lighting so to speak?

I, by the way did not take the pictures of the two on the bottom. My old friend in Utah did at Mt. Kings........Anyway to answer your question......as a hatchling / yearling he was pretty close to what you see in the picture......as he grew to nearly 450+ grams and close to 40" his light grey speckling made him look more 'yellow straw' in color.

That female was produced by me in 2002....she did not have one full scale of black....I was then working on a no black thayeri...This one was a second generation of selective breeding.......
