Since I had a 3 day debate with a follower of DWS about some old dog tame monitor rot, I figured I would post some pics of my female nile at mealtime. I believe food is the way to a monitor's heart, heh heh. I tried the daily "gentle" handling thing on this one for a while when she was wee little. It was not so gentle and she held a grudge for a good long time. Now after doing nothing but providing for her needs for a year and leaving her alone, she has finally comfortable enough to do her thing even when I am right next to her.

She lives with her boyfriend who is around the same age as she is, only he is about a foot longer. I don't think she is ready to take her relationship with him to the next level, but the boy sure as heck tries, ha ha ha. I got them both as babies. Both were about 10 inches sixteen months ago. The girl is four feet plus, the boy is five feet.

It sure does look like duct tape!

I saw a bum the other day walking in down town Reno and he had duct tape on the butt of his pants. I always say , "if it breaks tape it"!

Thanks for the compliments Mike. Yes it's duct tape. Not only is for good for mending worn out foot wear, I use it to do body work on my truck too, heh heh.

I thought I was the only one either too lazy or too cheap to go out and buy new shoes and slippers! I duct tape mine as well, hahaha

Well I'd have to say that part os it could be laziness but, just like everything else, I refuse to buy new things when I can sqeeze a bit more life out of the old, heh heh. Also since I have to feed and house these darn big lizards I'learned some pretty creative ways of saving dough. Every little bit counts, ha ha ha

Hey Sidbarvin, I almost choked and had soda pour out my nose when I saw the picture of you water monitor with the caption above "FUTURE MONEY PIT". It is so true, these suckers sure like to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but has anybody seen DWS's latest video? Watch it at youtube.com/varanustraining. That (Those?) poor monitor is nearly round like a basketball! That's so sickening that...that it makes me want to punch a baby! Just kidding, but really, how sad is that knowing it could of been prevented had she listened to everybody (here and elsewhere) and provided some halfway decent conditions?

I give it six months or less to live. How about everybody else?

man you really need to know when to shuttup. That nile is in awesome condition and that cage is amazing. Dont start cracking on other people just because your jealous.
