Brad Anderson Dec 09, 2007 08:04 PM

Did you happen to get this male from David D? It looks very similar to the wild caught female I caught in 91. I produced 3 litters of F1's from her and sold 1.3 babies to David in 1996. He kept the best female, grew her up and produced a number of offspring from her and as far as I know still has her and some of her babies and breeds them. Even if it is in no way related to my wild caught female its a cool looking gapper> How old is he? BA

Lance and I picked this one up from Larry Briggs, whose adults came from Dave D. So I am hoping there is a bit of the Brad Anderson bloodline in there. It is one of the coolest Gaps I have ever seen. He should be old enough this year to go (3 years old) and is hibernating now. If we are lucky our female may throw out a few good eggs. I am excited. I would be lying if I said otherwise. He is just cool looking...

Thanks for the info...

Stu, If everything goes well this year I would like to "borrow" one of your males next year... The DARK ONE!!!!!!!

Hope all is well. I talked to shores a moment at the show. He said he saw all of your alterna. I still want to get by sometime. I can't wait for 2008.

Happy Holidays!

Brightest Orange Again...

Hi Steve,

He has alot of bands, What is the story behind the snake? Who caught him and when and where exactly?

Do you have any pics of that bold alterna phase juno ( p.7) from your previous story?

Thanks,
Jim

This is my new 2007 juno blairs:

stevenxowens792 Dec 09, 2007 11:03 AM

The snake was produced by Ric Blair. If you look at his adults, he has one that looks almost just like it. These are some of the very best I have ever seen. Lance displayed it at the Texas Reptile Show yesterday, and without any lights above the cage, people were still drawn to it asking the same questions. Is that a greyband? Why is it not for sale?

Anyway... I honestly don't know If I have any slides of the first Juno I collected. I never had printed pics, but Ron gave me slides many many years ago. I remember in the 80s and 90s that slide shows were the big deal. I wish I still had him or his bloodline.

Thanks for looking.

Jim, what are you doing with all your offspring? You and Coach are probably producing some really nice stuff, but I never see it available. Are these Gems for the "Northern" shows only???

Happy Holidays!

Steven

Steve, That snake on page seven reminds me of this litte 2007 hatch juno gem.

The other question.

Or is that a no comment?

Best Wishes,

I have held back some, and shared with some friends. I occasionally post something. I hope to produce more in the coming years.

stevenxowens792 Dec 09, 2007 09:25 PM

Is that a full Juno? Yes, if you pay homage to the Alterna Jester by leaving that on my porch as you head out to West Texas this year, I feel that you may observe more Alterna than usual.

Congrats!
