yup another breeding question.....

My male pastel has locked up with one of my breeder females for the last 2 weeks. They were locked up almost everytime I checked on them. My question is she has been in her water bowl for the last 2 weeks. She doesn't appear to be going through a shed cycle or she would've already gone blue. Could she be trying to lower temp for folicular development? Also my pastel seems to like her more than others. He has been placed with 2 other females and he locked up with my spider a couple times and the other normal he has no interest in. Can they be picky when it comes to breeding???
