I didn't see it mentioned in your classified ad either, so I guess I have to just ask. What's the background on this albino?

LBC35 Dec 10, 2007 04:05 PM

Classified? Ive never put this girl up for sale. Her background is a little shady actually. I got her from a guy that said he got her from Pro Exotics, but Ive talked to them and they said they didnt remember producing her and if they did they wouldnt have sold her.....so there you go.....As far as I can tell from showing her around, she looks to be a Argentine/Columbian cross albino......however....unlike other crosses Ive seen including my own which I have posted on these forums as well.....she has a crazy pink coraling to her in between her saddles.....her saddles are there but they blend in to her body in a bananna yellow....also she has a very unique and uniform pink pattern on her sides and on her belly.....thats about all I can tell you.....I have showed her to tons of breeders and nobody as of yet has seen anything like her......so hopefully I can duplicate her genes....

I meant the pair you had for sale, I think it was the ones you have pictured in a thread below this one. Either way, it never mentioned they were a cross. I think it should be mentioned as many people may presume they are "pure" 100% Argentine based on the limited description.

Very unique Albino, whats tte history on this animal?

If you read above, I go into it a little bit, the past for her is a bit murky.....from what I can tell after showing her around she is an Argentine/Columbian Albino cross.....that said I have some other Argentine/columbian albino crosses and they look nothing like her, they look like normal albinos with much better color.......but this girl, she is like nothing I have ever seen......

It looks like someone started their col/arg. albino project using the High Pink Argentine line, as the blushing is very similar to a nice High Pink Argentine, but obviously in albino form. It's still important to mention the cross factor to keep from misleading anyone, even if unintentional.

LBC35 Dec 12, 2007 02:25 PM

Ya, I will from now on let everyone know its a cross.....thought it was obvious in the titel, but guess not......also i wish I could get the background for this animal down....I keep hitting a deadend.....but it must be a columbian/argentine cross.....Im still trying to decide what to breed her to......have you seen a snake like this before? I wish I could find one....but Ive never seen it.....

No, I've never seen a col/arg. albino with the blushing that way. I've seen some awesome looking ones, but they just had a real "coral" look to them. Like I said before, it just seems like a good high pink line arg. was used in that project. Look into some of those, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Good looking albino for sure! Good luck

agree with you also that a high pink argentine was used to make this one. The pink is in between the saddles typical of a high pink argentine and also has the pink in the side pattern and not all over like for a coral effect
