Nice little added bonus !!! Mark
Could you post pics of the dam and sire?
Very nice clutch by the way!
I would not have expected so much red in this clutch.
The male was a solid yellow as a baby, and the female was a cool-aid purple

Here are some photos of them together. Some photos are when they were younger. And the bottom right photo is when the female was a baby. She still shows a deep purple coloration, but not all the time.
How many amazons do you have...not including the new babies.

Not to be rude, but that seems like an odd question without any kind of further inquiry. May I ask why you want to know how many amazon tree boas I have?
I've often asked how many Amazons and how long have people been working with them...it's just a way to find out a little bit about the people you're talking with.

ok, lol, fair enough. I just have not seen people ask out of the blue how many snakes someone has on a forum. And it has never been a question I have asked, so I was kind of curious as to the inquiry.
I do not have a huge collection of amazon tree boas. I originally only kept a pair to display to show the diversity of the species. I selected each at different times, and the female was what I kind of thought to be a "diamond in the rough," since she was a purple snake being sold with a bunch of grays and gardens for $55. Not too long ago, I got another large female from work that is a light gray color. She is a very clean animal with the nice "lights" effect on the white spots. Honestly, this was actually the kind of snake I have wanted for a long time.
Since my main interest is in Latin American Snakes, I don't have too much room to speacialize too much on one individual species. But Amazon Tree Boas have always been a big interest of mine, and I told myself I would eventually need to get a nice red one with red belly scales for the display...I think my "diamond in the rough" purple female helped me out a bit on that one : )
If my wording, or previous posts, didn't give it away, I do a lot of exhibits. My SoLA: Snakes of Latin America exhibit was on public display at a museum, but I pulled it out when it was just too much of a headache getting in after 5:30 when the museum was closed. And most of you ATB keepers are aware of the difficulty of feeding some animals in the day time, especially in front of a crowd.
Sorry to not be quick to answer, I just was kind of confused at the question in my thread about my 11th baby born a day late : )
My mind was kind of still stuck on my first Amazon Tree Boas litter
Here is my setup for my Latin American Snakes
Thanks for looking at my new babies
