Sneak Peek at my Christmas Present...

EddieF Dec 11, 2007 10:21 AM

Looks like there will be another addition to the household this Christmas!

Details upon arrival, but I'll say this much - it's a boy, I got him from someone here, and I have the perfect wrapping paper...

Good guess and he will get his snake before noon tommorow. A sulfur lavender male that feeding on large fuzzies. Should be a great mate for Belle.

My guess is, from the looks of Belle, she came from the Extreme line of lavender brooks kings. The sulfur lav will be a good match for such a high red normal. I am hoping I am right and his female is het for lavender. And if Eddie feeds this male like he did Belle then he should have eggs come this summer.Well see!~>>

Good luck with your late delivery. Cut-off day was the 17th for overnight and I am glad we got this out today before the weekend.

sulfur lav adult first gen

Ed, as we already discussed yours looks more like the first gen sulfur lavs. This is one pictured from 2004 is probably the best one I ever produced. I don't know what the ownner did with it but i sure wish I could see a pic of it now. Yours is more like the first gen and will turn out more like the adult in the pic above. A nice female has your name on it for next year.

Got home today and realized I can totally assemble a snake habitat out of stuff we already have lying around! It's a 10 gallon, which is bigger than Rainer recommends, but it's Belle's starter tank so I think it will work okay for STBNL (snake to be named later). UTH, hides, water dish (how did we end up with like a dozen water dishes??). Anyway, we're all set for his arrival. Thanks Bluerosy!

Here's a shot of the reptile wing of our house. Hope the new snake doesn't mind rooming between two tarantulas. I'll be honest, *I* haven't quite gotten used to the tarantulas!

great reptile room,,,congrats on the new addition,,,,it is amazing how many extra things one ends up with as you get more snakes. I do not know how many water dishes and hides in all sizes I have. Well, guess I will just have to get new occupants for them,,,yea,,that it a good excuse.
And I could never get used to any tarantula,,,,

I told my wife, of everything we have, the spiders must never, ever, EVER, get out!!!

They are cool looking though, I should post a picture. One of them is blue and really neat looking.
