Heating the boa room (Part II)

DarkHelmet Dec 11, 2007 09:19 PM

Thanks for everyone's input, now some follow up questions regarding heat tape. Can heat tape be used with sterilites, or will it melt the plastic? Also, what types of enclosures does everyone use for their boas?

I use cages from Boaphile, Proline and Animal Plastics. I prefer the AP and Proline cages. Here are some pics from my setup:

Most rack systems use Sterilite bins. Or similar. Heat tape, flexwatt, can be used for them. You NEED a thermostat though.

Do you use Flexwatt on the AP cages, or did you opt for the routed in heat from AP?

I got the routed in heat.

I use a vision rack for sub adult boas and vision cages for the adults.

All of my vision cages have 11" flex watt on the right hand side of each cage running from the front to the back.

Here is a photo of my snake den.
