Underrated ratsnakes....

Everyone wants the albino's (actually I'm gonna eventually get a female albino myself). But it seems no one is interested in normals. I personally like the look. These also seem to be alert and intelligent snakes, and probably the most active snake I have. Anyone ever see that one episode of the Jeff Corwin show
(I think that was his name, the kind of feminine guy on the animal planet channel) where he handles this monster rad. rat? I always wondered if that was really a wild caught animal as it didn't even attempt to bite. It was huge, had to be 7'+.

Awesome radiated you got there. I have seen the show, it is the one where he is in Nepal. I think he called it a Grey's rat snake or something? I remember that because I had never heard anyone call a radiated by that name.

.
I have caught a few wild Radiated Rats and all, except one, had every intension of eating my face, even when handled gently!
(The exception was a juvenile that was suffering the effects of a neurotoxin.)
Still they are very impressive animals and, if I kept Asian animals, I'd have a pair.
Thanks for the PIC.

Years ago while in college I bought a wild caught from a pet store. They sold it as an "asian" rat. It looked good, ate well and was still to this day the most foul tempered snake I've ever dealt with!
