When can I start clipping Arwen's nails?

Bezzerra Aug 25, 2003 08:57 AM

She's 3-months-old and she's already tearing me up with her nails. Do I use special clippers or will my own nail clippers work? (I know not to clip too much, just barely the ends.)

you can start now if thye are bothering you, just use regular nail clippers and clip the very very very tip of the nail, because she is small also its very important you just nip the very tip of the nail as the qick may be hard to see (its the part inside the nail extending from the nail bed in a triangular shape). keep some flour, baking soda or syptic powder on hand just in case, if you do cause bleeding be sure to tend to it quickly and keep an eye on her to be sure the bleeding has stopped. if you only do the very tips, you shoudlnt run into any problems at all.
