i got a new/used comp. and the monitor kinda sux so maybe im way off here, but i gotta ask where did your sulfur snows come from? are they a true snow IE double homozygot(albino&anery) they seem to have ALOT of colour to them almost like an anery&hypo dbl.homo... are they maybe a triple homozygot albino&anery&hypo? , and being sulfur is apparently NOT a reccessive, how can they be sulfur snows??? like i said my monitor sux but i dont/cant/havnt seen an albino or snow with that much colour,,,,,,,,thomas davis

The sulfur snows came from the same way the sulfur lavender were created. A normal sulfur brooks was bred to a Tim Ricks lavender albino. The sulfur gene is not a reccessive trait. So it is the phenotype of the sulfur that colored the lavender albino up.

What else is neat is the so named "Extreme Lavenders" that have high red as babies lose the red as adyults. You also need to breed a het snow to het snow to get one. So they don't breed true when you get a high red Extreme and breed it to another. It is a special trick to get the real nice high red extremes to produce high red ones.

With the Sulfur lavenders this is not trure. They DO breed true. The sulfur gene , while not a reccessive, is a strong gene to color up anything it touches. So the sulfur snows are effected by having blue, tellow and purples show through. As the slufur snows grow more of the yellow and blue pigments come in. They start off white but after a few meals they start turning yellow and then blue and finnally purple. Best looking snow out there in my opinion.

This is all the same sulfur lav as it grows.

same snake

same snake

same snake

And yes they are a true snow

As you can see from the pic the sulfur snows and sulfur lavs are in the same clutch. That is because ALL sulfur lav carry the anerythritic gene and will produce snows as well as lavender albino.

there's something about that sulfur blood that brightens things up. I just hope mine go again this year. Last year was a total bust. The older they get, the more yellow they get....and it is a rich yellow.
