I have been feeding my argentine red high quality cat food for about 2 years. he is 3' and about 5-6 lbs. . Do you think I should begin to feed him f/t mice? What size should I buy? Will he swallow it whole or tear it apart? And will he recognize the f/t mouse as food?

it doesnt matter what kind of cat food it was. get him off of it. cat and dog foods tend to give lizards kidney problems later on in their life. as far as f/t mice. he mite, he mite not. he probably will, you can hold it by the tail and make it move some to attract him more. my red wont eat f/t i have to buy live ones. (which i dont like to do :/ ) but Taz sees his rats or chicks and he goes nuts and will jump straight up in the air for them.
