Health Question

Fekes Dec 14, 2007 07:37 AM

Well this is about AFTs but nobody is posting over there. :/

I just got a pair of AFTs that I have seperate for now. They aren't really eating so I am taking them to the vet. I just want to know what someone thinks could be wrong with them.

They don't eat very much, the male just pooped but it was kind of runny. He was also bought where the seller kept a rather large group. I'm guessing wild caught. He is looking better, and they don't seem to be losing weight. I want to get them dewormed because that sounds what could be wrong?

Thanks

Vet trip is the best solution, you are already on top of that. Most likely parasites of one kind or another in addition to stress if they are wild caught and were over crowded.

Some vets like to have fecal samples if possible. If not, don't worry, they'll just get a tiny q-tip up the "back end" which is what my first gecko managed to survive with most of his dignity intact.

I guess all I can say is please buy bred animals in the future, wild caught just feeds the problem... off soapbox now.
