Why do some posts with pictures have that red box with 'Image' in it, but when I post pictures it doesn't have that?

If you use HTML brackets in the body of the post, it will not have the image tag. If you copy and paste the url of your pic in the image url box below, it will add the image tag.

Those brackets are shown in the, options and tools page.

How did I do? for someone whos mostly brain dead when it comes to computers? Cheers

As FR pointed out if you use HTML the KS forum doesn't recognize it as a photo therefore doesn't display image behind your threads/posts, however it still shows the photo in the thread/post. The easiest way around this would be to use [img] tags you can check that out HERE.

And to add...
Also and I am testing this now using KS "photo Gallery" also displays the image tag next to the photo.

You mean this thing?

If your picture comes from the Kingsnake Photo gallery, the little image gif attaches automatically. If the picture is [IMG] tagged into your post, (comes from another place on the internet) then it isn’t.

If you are interested in all the codes for that stuff…

Try doing a search for
“Bulletin Board Code” and you can learn all about it.

All the little codes that help you put in links, resize your pictures and all that cool stuff.

I can’t see the “Tools and Toys” page on Kingsnake.com help page anymore, is that not working anymore?

yeah, that's the icon. No big deal, I just tend to go to those posts first because I like to see people's pictures, but then I noticed all the picture posts that didn't have that icon (including mine).
