Some new Additions this 07

First is a nice looking normal I picked up, with spots that are very reduced in size. Plus, he has some great color too!

Next is a sibling to the above male. She is a great looking albino in my opinion.

Then last is a run of the mill Albino green/granite....lol I don't even have to say where this guy came from. Thanks Jim!

There is definitely something more to that "normal". Gotta be...

Is the male het for anything other than albino? He looks really nice for just a "normal". The albino green granite is hot. Bebo makes some nice animals. Did they all come from Bebo or just the AGG?

Thanks,
Randy

Hey Randy,

The normal and albino I got from a different breeder. I liked the normal because it looks pretty similar to some of the leopards I've seen, and could quite possibly be labeled as one in my opinion. He happens to be het for albino and green. Oh, and Jim does produce some great burms!

Good luck with your breeding projects this year trying to prove out the leopards. I think your know my opinion on them, but I'll just be happy when there is some proof of what they actually are one way or the other.

Also, I'll hopefully be doing my own part in the whole leopard burm debate as I'm trying to breed a normal het albino green/labyrinth female to a male albino het green/lab male. My female is a tad on the small side, but hopefully it works out.

Take care,
Ben

I thought there was more to that "normal" than just albino. I knew it was het albino because of the albino sibling. I agree it looks similar to the leopards, I compared the pictures you sent of my "leopard" female as a baby with your "normal" male. They are close, but there is still a slight pattern difference. I think we both agree that mine are at least het for both green and labyrinth.

I am not putting the "leopards" together this year. Instead, we are breeding an albino labyrinth male to the female "leopard" and the male "leopard" to an albino green female. Depending on the outcome, we should know for sure what we have.

Good luck with your leopard project, let me know what you get out of the clutch.

Talk to you later,
Randy

In my opinion I'm not sure if the labyrinth gene has anything to do with it. I know the female you have supposively came from something to do with labyrinths, and she could indeed be het for lab in addition to green, but I question if the labyrinth gene has much if anything to do with the pattern on leopards. I could be wrong, but most of the normal het labs don't seem to have any difference in pattern from other normals that I can tell.

Hopefully we will both know the answer after this season. I'm looking forward to seeing what you get with both breedings.

Thanks,
Ben

Congratulations, Ben!

The albino is my favorite of those pics; Beautiful colors/markings.

I also like the not-so-normal "normal." I figured it was at least an albino het. And I have to agree with you that it could be classified as a leopard, in my opinion. Nice.

Thanks for sharing!

Catch ya later!

Thanks a lot! Keep me in mind if you produce anymore labs this season.

"Keep me in mind if you produce anymore labs this season."

Will do. I'm going to put momma & daddy together in the next few days, as soon as he sheds. They've been itchin' to get together. Hopefully I learned from all my mistakes last season and this one will be productive. If so, I'll most likely be interested in doing some trading with ya.

I've still got your e-mail address so I'll keep in touch.

Take care, Ben!
Mike
