Iguana pellets along with birdseed

I bought some iguana pellets yesterday its a 22 oz bottle made by zoo med im using this with birdseed as dry food they scarfed em down i heard it was very fattening is this so..? Also has anyone els eused it?

I use Rep-Cal juvenile iguana pellets. Ra goes crazy for them when I do offer it to him (but only after he's eaten his greens for the day). I believe that they are a little fattening but I'm not sure. I do not give it to him daily, just once every few days. The birdseed I keep available daily (it provides good roughage). Of course, this is just my opinion.

I have a dry mix of dried split peas, lentils, iguana pellets, and bird seeds. My male mali really enjoyes this mix.
