Gecko not eating!

deliriumpixie Dec 15, 2007 11:43 PM

My Leo, Angus, has not been eating recently. He'll sometimes eat, but for the most part, for the past couple of weeks he's been refusing to eat his mealies. It is cold in my apartment but I have the heating lamp right over him (just switched it yesterday) and he seems to like it, he basks right under it. He's drinking but he's not pooping or peeing much at all. I change his mealies and he still won't eat them. I use paper towels to line his cage so I don't think impaction can be the problem? Could this be seasonal anorexia? His tail is staying good and fat. He seems to not be lethargic, but I just don't know what to do. Please help!

not saying this is what is with your gecko but, mine has not been eating so much recently either... maybe it is just a seasonal thing or something. i gave her some silkworms yesterday and she ate 8 lol (i think she liked them ) so mayeb its just something like that. if shes not losing weight then i guess as long as the fast doesnt last too long then she will be fine.

(please correct me if im wrong)
