chacoantegu Aug 25, 2003 11:28 AM

i just saw my 5 month old female eat a dead ficus leaf. i have heard of veileds doing this but not jackson's is this normal and would it be able to cause harm or good. she is also shedding if that would have anything to do with it.

Our panthers will eat the dried leaves too every once in a while. The other day I say a juvie chewing on a live ficus leaf too. Never had any problems because of it. Some say it is a natural thing... maybe a mineral they need or roughage to clean the pipes. Who knows!?!?

Don't panic unless she asks for potato chips!
