Sundays Cleveland Show review

HerpZillA Dec 18, 2007 09:02 AM

1st It was cold and ugly out. A number of sellers did not show. I was a little surprised at the turn out. It took a while but it got fairly busy. I saw a few friends, Dave, Norm, Tim K., Adam, etc. It was nice to be not so crowded. People seem to want to stay longer and chat. And if your there you still can buy. When it gets to busy people seemed to get annoyed and do a quick sweep and leave.

On the corn front, to make this topical, I saw a number of adults? More than usual this time of year. Some clearly past their prime, some still nice breeders. Also a lot of 07's still around.

I did not buy anything for myself as I did not see any bloodreds. Some listed as bloodreds, but WERE NOT lol.
Some nice wholesale deals for the shop I help at.
Cleveland is still not doing well economy wise, so not a good barometer for over all activity, but sales are slow.

I think maybe someone should give Ms. Hilton a pocket corn snake to carry for a month to perk up business.

Just a thought

Figures the 1 time I can't make it there's more people that are staying longer and chatting. I always tend to get there when it's so crowded you can barely move an inch without bumping into somebody. I guess that's just the way summer is though.

Was there any mention of some bloods next summer? I'd really like to get a couple of amel bloods.

Then you can see VH1's tales of the rich and famous corn snakes.

It was a good day to chat.

Bloods are not often at the show. I got 3 1.2 this year, all babies. I can definately see some black on the rings, but teh guy new it and said he is working on refining his line. Well, that takes time too. But I just want bloods right now. So, I got them.

Occasionally a nice one pops up. Makes me leary too. I talked to the guy that I bought my 30" female from, about 2-3 months ago,, about it burbing 3 meals straight. The guy has a good rep. But he also told me it was hammering rat pinks. So why not heavier if such a good eater?

Some time back I gave her a peach fuzzy with flayl on it. BURP. tht was #3. I gave a straight dose of flagyl a week later. That was near 2 weaks ago. My plan is a oral dose of nutribac. Then in 2 weeks to a month or more a new born pinky mouse sliced with more nutribac, and pull the water 2-3 days before I feed her. Pinky head is a thought too? But shes about 28-maybe 30".

wish me luck,,, this is her

She's a nice bloodred.

NutriBac sounds like that's the way to go. I read somewhere that you can mix 1/2 teaspoon with water and tube feed the corn snake twice per week for 1 week or 2. Then mix it with a little canned cat food for about a month and then start giving the corn snake small pinkies. But, I think this was for yearlings.

I know how frustrating it can get I had a similar problem with a vine snake.

Ya seems like the trade has been a little off this year. Hopefully next year will be good
