Ghost at Christmas ?!!

zerickone Dec 18, 2007 02:48 PM

Cleaning my cages yesterday , I was able to snap a great pic of my male ghost and posted it on here as a single male seeking a single female as joke. Needless to say it was deleted, maybe thought I was soliciting. But that's okay rules are rules. I plan to breed him with an anery female next season. I 'm just wondering . . . do both snakes need to be het snow to produce a snow? I'd love to add a snow to my collection. Well , here he is, looking handsome.

Thanks for looking,
Andrew M.

Hi!
Yes, I saw him before he was deleted.
Very cool ghostie indeed!
To answer your question, yes, he would have to have the albino gene in some form (he would be a het) and his mate would have to have it as well (either being a het or an albino, sunglow, etc.).
If you're trying to go the way of the snow, get an albino, make some triple hets and among their grandkids (two generations later) you would not only have snows, but MOONGLOWS (hypo snows)!
Good luck with him, no matter what. He was a good purchase and, as a ghost, he opens you to many cool breeding options.
