Just thought I would clarify the name for some folks that are unfamiliar with them.LOL

As a matter of fact, I'm sure many people are also unaware that these are also the same snakes that are depicted on the medical symbol we are all familiar with, ...the "staff with two snakes intertwined". Named after the ancient god of medicine "Aesculapius"

I was stationed in Crete in the mid 80's and they cost $30 at the petshops there. Times have sure changed. I did find one live one there and lots of Caspian terrapins and Dice snakes.

Hi,

wow, those are nice ones!

They were once the most imported snake in Germany but also the one that most often died!

Wonderful animals, Lloyd.
Situlas and Aesculapians, especially, are very cool.

Hera are some European Ratsnakes I hatched out this past season. European Ratsnakes are not the delicate easy to die snakes as was thought in the the past.

Spanish Ladder Ratsnake

Croatian Leopard Ratsnakes

I hope to produce longissima next season, this is an old photo of one of my Russian locale breeders.

Very nice leopards, Aesculapians and Persians! I noticed that you are in Florida. Do you refrigerate your Eurasians for brumation? I live in South Texas, and that is what I am doing with my adult situla and Elaphe dione.

Thanks Lloyd! I remember reading some posts on using wine coolers. I know that they are easier to adjust the temps on than refrigerators, so maybe I will try to get one next year.
