Tripplets

cobra93 Dec 19, 2007 01:26 AM

Does anybody know or have any exp. with tripplets? I had a Hypo M breed to a Het. Hypo F. last year and had twins. The one never made it out of the egg, however it was fully developed. This year I tried the same thing and was VERY LUCKY to get three hypo females. They are very small but are all eating regulary. Is this or could this be genetic with this pairing????? Any info. would be greatly app.. They were all in the 15grm. range but are still alive.

Wow I Have never heard of that either but if I were you I'd would get that female big and do that pairing everyyear and maybe try some different pairings some time to see if it is just the female or if the male has to be there too. very cool try and get some pics up I'd love to see them
Thanks,
Jake

prehistoric pets had some triplets in a retic clutch recently. if you go to the retic forum there is a video of them. there were several eggs with twins and triplets, it really is amazing. i too was wondering if there is an inheritable gene that produces multiple babies in one egg. at fifteen grams each though, i dont know if i would wish for it to happen.

The pics.. I didn't get them out of the eggs, but I have no intention of selling them eigther. They were the last egg in the incubater with three babies.
