I would say it is an emoryi with an aberrant head pattern. I am looking at the roundness of pattern on the sides along with the shape of the blotches down the back. I have never seen a TX Rat with the heart shaped blotches on the back. This specimen has at least two. This is very common in emoryi. Here is a comparison photo. The head on the top is a TX Rat.

This snake has been haunting me all day. After my last post it hit me this is not a rat snake. It is a TX glossy!
