The Type II Anery is a different version of Anerythrism. Much like there are Kahl and Sharp Albinos.

The Type II has shown up in a few locales. Mainly Nicaraguan, and Mexican (specifically Sonoran, Mexican).

Type II Anerys tend not to "brown out" as regular Anerys do. Some lines may well be Axanthic and this lack of browning out could be attributed to the lack of yellow pigment.

There are also Type I Anery Nicaraguans. I believe, but do not quote me on it, that all the Nicaraguan Ghosts have been Type I.

Tom Burke and Vin Russo have done a LOT of trials with the various Anery morphs, especially within the Nicaraguan boas. This was a good test group because there were Type I, Type II and a third dubbed "black-tail". The latter seems not to be genetic, and they PROVED that the Type I and Type II Anerys are NOT compatible. This of course made the breeding results of a breeding done by Bill Kirby a few years ago question if the Pewter boa was indeed a Type II Anery Blood, or if it was a Type I Anery Blood. The Pewter is pure El Salvador.

Generally speaking on the simplest level, Type II Anerys are darker than Type I, and do not brown out.

Here is a picture of my Type II Anery. The product of a DH Blizzard X DH Blizzard from Jeremy Stone. The project was started by breeding a Type II Anery Mexican female X Kahl Albino Colombian male.

I believe that Vin or Tom (maybe both) have comparison shots of a Type II Nic and a Type I Nic. I'm sure if you emailed them you could find out more. Amanda Burke put a nice explanation of the Anerys and what work they had done at the time on here a while back.

That's one beautiful snake.
Is it missing -- red, yellow, orange, brown?
Anything else?

He's 66% het Kahl Albino as well. The perfect boa to produce a Blizzard if he proves out!

The only iridescent color he shows is blue!
