My collared is sick. She didn't come out of her house this morning and I went to check on her. She has glazed eyes, cloudyish like there is clearish/greyish liquid covering them. What's wrong?

Hard to tell without seeing/observng her, the pic of her eyes looks as if they are watery, if they get runny or stuck shut like sandy or you hear any popping type sound when she breaths, opens mouth to breath or holds head straight up, or mucus in nose than I call your Vet asap (If it's a respiratory infection they get pretty sick and go down hill quite fast.)
Has anything been different? Has she been brumating, did you spray anything toxic in the house or near her lately???? Anthing in her cage different?
Let us know how she is doing

I've had a lizard with resp infection and this looks different. They are definitely more runny and cloudy instead of crusty/solid. It's like she is in a daze or something. I was away for a few days but I've done this before and she was fine. Everything is on a timer, and the heat is 90 during the day and drops to 70sh at night. I have a vet appt set up for tomorrow (all full today) with a ARAV vet near here. I'm going to take the sand out of her tank and lay paper towels down so nothing gets stuck in her eyes.
=(
Should I wait til the appt tomorrow or try to bring him to a vet today? The vet tomorrow I think has more experience.
Yeah her eyes look like ours when we get a bad cold, As far as when to take her, THE SOONER THE BETTER, they will start antibiotics if it is for sure a resp/bacterial infection.
Let us know how she makes out, I hope she feels better real soon!

She got an injection of Baytril. She said that she would need 3 Baytril injections, one today, one saturday, one monday. She also gave me Terramycin ointment for her eyes. Does this sound good?
Hi, The batril is pretty standard treatment for resp infections. I hate injections though, shame he did not give you oral medicine.
The terramycin is good for eye problems, I have it here in my lizard medicine kit at all times.
I sure hope your girl perks up and gets well soon, let us know

She actually seems to be getting better but I don't like to get my hopes up. She went from being really lethargic and slow and now she's running around jumping on the walls and hanging from the ceiling again. Her eyes have cleared up since the vet visit and I've been keeping up with the eye ointment every 12 hours. I've had a few collareds go through this before and get treatment but she is the first to seem to get back to normal. Hopefully it is going to work. The vet said that oral med don't absorb as much as injection. I've gotten oral meds for the other collareds before and they didn't work, so thats why I figured I would try the injections. Do you think I should ask for the oral meds after the 3 injections are over? I have another injection tomorrow, and then the final one on Monday. She is eating and chasing after worms like she never got sick in the first place, its really surprising. I'm used to having the lizard go downhill at this point. Combo is a fighter so I'm hoping she can beat this.
So happy to hear shes feeling a bit better.
I would read Aarons post (quantumhigh) he's a great guy, and caring owner. I aked him to post because Darwin his male was very sick and has made a complete recovery. He had a couple injections also, but then went on with the medicine he speaks of after the injections.
Maybe you can toss it around with your Doctor. In any case always keep them well hydrated when on meds.
hope she continues to bounce off the walls in " a healthy state"
keep us updated, these posts help others when they have sick lizards.

Sounds like Resp. infection. My male Darwin just got over a nasty infection where I probally almost lost him. The sooner you get to the vet for treatment the better. Its only downhill once they get sick like this. It will take him atleast twice as long from him to get well from time you first noticed him sick until you started treatment. I took my guy about 2 weeks.
Medicine:
Twice daily eyedrops: Gentocin (only) Ophn Solution
Twice daily oral: Keflex 0.05cc
Also got 2 Batril.
1 at emergency vet.
1 a day later a specilist vet.
After the third and final injection i'm going to ask my vet if I can give oral meds at home.
My collared is making a great recovery! She got her third and final injection on Monday. Then on Tuesday she went with me on a 4 hour drive back home to Jersey. Wednesday I gave her her first dose of her oral meds and today she's jumping around with both eyes wide open and playing in the water dish, as if she wasn't sick in the first place. It's great! I am very happy, I really didn't think she would get any better. I hope she makes a full recovery.
