How many Northern Pine Morphs Exist?

jimburke27 Dec 19, 2007 08:38 PM

Hello. I would like to know how many Morphs of the Northern Pine Snake that are in existence.

I already know about:

1) "normal"
2) Amelanistic
3) Red Amelanistic
4) Red
5) Peach
6) Paradox
7) Patternless (Not true Northern?)

I currently own a "normal" and an Amelanistic. If anybody knows of any other Northern Pine Morphs, please post a reply to share this with me. Pictures would be cool, too.

I think you have a pretty complete list. I would dare say that some locality specimens, especially the really good black and white ones could be added to your list as people breed especially for that trait.

there was at least one patternless northern pine collected in the nj pine barrens ......i believe i saw young from this snake (which was confiscated by njf&w, and then placed in a private collection) for sale at a white plains show, since the adult was given to this individual by nj, the offspring are legal to sell or barter....
