just kidding...thats a great looking snake...sure one of your male gophers didn't wander into the mothers cage...LOL Would be awesome if that proved out!!

Nokturnel Tom Dec 20, 2007 08:59 PM

Thanks! I get a fair number of aberrants from the mother so it would be awesome if this does prove out but any which way this guy is a knockout.

Again AWESOME snake !!
I don't remember if I asked the last time we spoke about this gem, but what were the parent's color & pattern phases?

Thanks, Walter

Nokturnel Tom Dec 20, 2007 09:02 PM

Hi Walter. The dad is a Reverse Okeetee from Don and the female is supposedly a Reverse Okeetee from a serious enthusiast but she does lack thick white around her blotches. Her pattern is pretty normal though, she has a few hour glass type blotches and that's it. This guy is growing fastest out of all his sibs! I don't have many left but most are females.... so if I keep him I will keep at least 2,3 mates for him too. Thanks again

I think you have the makings of a whole new line in that one.

The Avalanche has already started-it is too late for the pebbles to vote....

Nokturnel Tom Dec 22, 2007 04:16 PM

Thanks Brad. It was one of the last eggs to hatch so you can imagine my surprise. I had a super steep price tag on him and though it is not a proven trait I just wouldn't part with it unless I got what I wanted. He is still here and I am not disapointed.
I will always love Corns but if you recall my table at the Austin show was mostly Pits and Kings. Those are what I am most known for. I am inches away from holding back the remaining females and this male. Can you imagine this guy at 3 foot long? I think he is going to be incredible.
It was great meeting you at the show. Have a great holiday. When the smoke clears I will contact you, I'd like to talk herps some more. Take it easy

Great seeing you as well! Might see you at NARBC in Arlington?

I for sure wouldn't let that guy slip through my fingers, were I you!

Hi Brad. I think I will be at NARBC but it's not likely I will have a table. My wife will be studying for work related exams around then so my daughter and I will probably spend the weekend up there. I will be sure to stop by. I thought the show last year was excellent. Tom Stevens
