as I understand... u can substitute this (on occassion) fo the salad... to change it up... correct?

if so... which are the best pellets to get??

Hard to say which are the best... some Beardies prefer some and others not. I will tell you that the ONLY pellet I have found that ALL of my beardies will eat is Rep cal brand. I use them daily in with their salad.

I bought some repcal Bearded Dragon pellets the other day, and my beardies love them!!

I bought Zoo-Med pellets, and my Beardie hates them with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. I feed them to the crickets for gutload. They love them.

I give my beardies Kaytee Pellets. I just soften them with water, and they love them. I like the smell better too, lol. Kaytee has a fruit smell and the repcal doesnt smell very good.
