What size clay pots do you use for the hide spots?
How big a hole do you put in the top?
Do you break it with a hammer?
PS the 4 snakes I got form you last year are doing great?

Chad,
....I use flower pots that are a couple different sizes. For BRBs up to around 4 pounds flower pots that are 10.5 inches across are good. For the really big BRBs I use pots that are 13 inches across. To make the entry holes I tap the small drain hole out with multiple strikes with a small hammer. I try chipping the hole out slowly so that it is at least sort of round and then use a half round bastard file to smooth the edges. I initially thought that the holes needed to be extra large to prevent two snakes from getting stuck going thru the hole at the same time. In 20 years using these I have never had snakes get stuck in the hole. Glad those BRBs are doing well.
