Surrender Dorothy!
that is correct!
somedays i wish i was conceived about 15 years before the actual date. there's some things i'm glad i missed but a heap of stuff i wasn't meant to miss-
some of these musicians in their prime...
unprotected indigos (couperi and erebennus)...
field collecting the genetic ancestors of peanut butter brooksi...
dang.

Nice line up. BB with his 335 and Beck with his Strat. All that was missing was Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen!
Atomic Punk!
Scott D
now there is a song that is not played often enough or loud enough. cue it up!
have you seen jimmy's new hair style? it looks like he fell out of chapter three from the lords of the ring, like some gosh darn midieval guitar riding wizard.

I am a victom of the science age a child of the storm. Whoa yes.
Yeah Jimmy's new hairdo looks like a hobbit do, pretty sad for the hammer of the Gods guitar player!
Scott D
Gotta say...Page has to be one of the worst live acts ever.
Maybe now that they stopped manufacturing 714's???
By the way if you didn't get the edited DVD, you can still catch some on MSN..They actually aired it as it was happening and still show a tune or two by most everyone who was there..
The 1st one in TX was a 2 or 3 day-er and they cut Jeff B. out of the DVD. I was pissed.

Yeah that is true, Page is pretty sloppy as a live player, even some of his studio stuff is pretty bad. Heart breaker solo is one that comes to my mind at first. I think Eddie said Page plays like a five year old with a broken wrist. But Page does have a whole lotta feeling!
Scott D
thats not quite being fauir to Jimmy Page. i've seen him several times from the early Zep days on through the 70s. some days he was very sloppy and just plain terrible(and couldnt do his studio wizardry to fix things) but there were those few nights when he was brilliant. Very few can be great live all the time, like the late greats Jimi and Duane.I have not seen him recently though, so perhaps he has slipped some over the years.
Page is one of my favsorite guitar players, but he was just plain sloppy live, esp when he played lead. Great at song writing, rhythem and acoustic. I did catch him, Clapton and Beck in a late 80's concert and he was kicking ass, but the older stuff, like The Song Remains The Same, put me to sleep.
For an all time great who can and has done it all. Eddie V all the way!

Mark! That was 'Lude!

there's a lot of ac to flip on beale street but you won't find too many kings there besides bb and elvis...
on the streetside of bb's restaurant i was able to enjoy some fried pickles and bbq spaghetti with a cold one, back in 2003 with my honey. mmm-mm can't find that one on the menu just anywhere.
Happy Holidays Davey boy!
BB just opened another club in Orlando.

Happy Holidays guys. wish i were at the crossroads festival too, but at least i have a copy of much of it on cd. just in memphis a few months ago dave for a rib trip. that is one of the rib epicenters. only wish it could have been during herping season, as there is some coice country around there to poke around in.
Happy Holidays guys.
