This is a sharp looking little creamsicle.
This little girl is from my 50/50 meahllmorum/corn rootbeer het hypo het amel to one of my cinnamons who turned out to be het amel.
I'm sure some of you may remember seeing her cinnamon and rootbeer siblings I ended up keeping.

Where about did you see it?

Walter

Snake_Master Dec 21, 2007 01:05 PM

Old number 11..the road going to Trade day..I had to turn around to covince a snake was dead on the road in Dec.. I figured it would of been a king or a rat snake, but nope it was a gorgeous adult male..He was actually still moving a bit.

walter smith Dec 21, 2007 04:44 PM

Gottcha.
I was just curious where because the one I caught this past summer was right off 11 heading towards Fort Payne from 83.
I forget the count rd. #, but it's the first left just over the creek, past Portersville Church.

I hope to get ahold of a Dekalb female to go with him. The female I have is from the Huntsville area.

AWESOME Creamsicle Jimmy !!!
It's also poss. that it could be also Homozygous for Hypo as well right?

I'll be incorporating the Intermontana line into some projects in a year or so. Thought that might be fun too !!

you are right Walter and I really belive it may be homo hypo.
It just has a "different" look to it.
Just doesn't look like any of my other creams.
The first thing I thought when she hatched was hypo cream.
it will be fun to find out in a couple of years.

Hey Doug,
I am just getting into milks. Is that last snake a Ghost Honduran (hypo anery)?
Very nice trio you have there!

"I try to take one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me at once"

DMong Dec 22, 2007 12:24 PM

Yes, that's a "ghost" Honduran, and a VERY nice example of one!

Most ghosts are nowhere near as "clean" as this one, and the majority of them still display varying degrees of black "tipping"
on their scales. This little girl has absolutely ZERO tipping with very reduced dark bands,..and should be absolutely stunning as an adult.

Some Hondurans, as well as many other milks can be pretty nervous and "flighty", especially as hatchlings, but most become very managable as they get a little older. However, on the same token, I also have many Hondurans that are absolute SWEETHEARTS, and are very easy-going right from the very beginning. It all really depends on the individual.

A "hidebox" is a must, especially when young, but other than that, you can maintain them pretty much as you would cornsnakes.

I don't think I'd recommend them to a "newbie", but I think you would do very well with them, as you have considerable snake experience with other types. I think you'd find them very rewarding, I think they represent some of prettiest snakes on the planet!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS MISTY!

Yeah,...that has happened to me many a time!,GRRR!

I've had posts that have taken a VERY long time to think about, and word things just right on extremely detailed subjects, only to find after I was finally done,....I'd hit the "post message"
button,...only to find out the friggin' thing disappeared!

I certainly can't repeat what I SCREAMED!!!!..LOL

WOW Those are incredible.
I hate to say things like this in the corn forum, but those hondos are the coolest snakes I've seen to date.

ratsnakehaven Dec 25, 2007 10:55 AM

Jimmy, Merry Christmas!

I've always liked Okeetees, but that Abbott's Line is outstanding.

Great lineup you have there, bud. Keep up the good work this year, and best of luck.
