Black Milk

This little girl's been cooling for a couple of months. Just checked on her and she shed and the cage needed to be cleaned, so I had to take some shots!

Nice Joe. I love pics of kids holding snakes. I've gotten my boys involved with my stuff from a very early age.

Hey Doug!

Well right now everything that is orange is a corn snake to him, but he'll soon learn that they are honduran milks! First thing when I walk in the door at night usually is "let's go see snakes!". I've got two little boys, so I'm really hoping at least one is a snake fanatic like me!

Have a great holiday season, Doug.

My nephew also loved to go visit my "snake room" and hold stuff!

Just think,....when your kids get older, instead of you making them do just chores like dishes, cleaning their room, taking out trash, cutting the lawn,......you can ALSO have them clean out your snake cages!...LOL

I love teaching little kids about snakes,.....you can just see the interested looks in their eyes and expressions!.....as you well know, MOST kids are tought to be afraid of, and despise snakes from their parents,....who also learned this from their parents, etc... I was REALLY fortunate to have parents that let me have, and even bought me snakes as a VERY young kid! I remember bringing big Indigos to my third grade "show & tell"!

anyway, I also hope your kids will enjoy them like we do!

the one you captured in the wild?

what a rarity!.......I could only WISH to be so lucky as to stumble onto something like that!

I think it was Don Hamper that had some(one) many years ago, but don't think any more were ever produced from those. I've heard tales of albino forms of Eastern Milk being found once in a great while. Are you aware of any popping up in the hobby?

best regards, ~Doug

Yes it is. I've followed a few leads, including Don's, but have come up empty everywhere. If any others are out there they are being kept pretty secret! O well.

Thanks for that additional info.

I guess you'll definitely be breeding it to a normal, producing hets,...then line/backbreed to hopefully produce some yourself one day,...correct?

By the way, what sex is yours?

thanks, ~Doug
