Phasing out of incandecent bulbs...

ERICHRHOM Dec 21, 2007 01:01 PM

What does this new law mean to our hobby? The incandecent bulbs made for reptile keeping are made to put out heat, are they going to be banned as well?

They'll end up making some kind of provision for a "specialty" label, which will also drive the cost from 25 cents each to $10 each.

I'm wondering how they're planning to convert the light fixtures in all the old homes of people who can't afford to do so.

Good intentions, horrendously stupid idea.
