Beautiful Mex. milk Phil. For some reason I don't think I got to see this beauty when Ralph & I were over your house. Did you produce any babies this year, or plan to in 08?

Velvet Ant(Dasymutilla occidentalis) This colorful ground wasp (female only) has a sting so potent that it also earned the nickname "cow killer"

Hey Todd,
Let me know if you come across any extra Val Verde males.
I only have the female from that locale. Maybe we could do a breeding loan?

I do plan on breeding her this upcoming season. We'll see how it goes. I just got the Val Verde female two weeks ago. The pictures don't do her any justice. I'll have to work on getting some better ones. Thanks.

Nice looking annulata Phil. Do you know where at in Val Verde County this line derives from?? Hwy 277, Juno, Pandale Dirt Rd. or Langtry? These places are more commonly associated with L. alterna but will produce some nice annulata as well, if you are lucky enough to find one there.

I got her from Larry Bobitt, no not that Larry Bobitt. LOL!! He lives near me in Norfolk, Va. He collected her himself. I'll have to give him a call and find out.
